Powering Efficient Phosphorus Recovery
Power-to-P combines electrodialysis with proven industrial process technologies in a proprietary process architecture developed specifically for phosphorus recovery. By making electricity an integral part of the process, Power-to-P eliminates consumption of chemicals, reduces waste and improves resource efficiency. The result is a simpler and more sustainable process that integrates naturally with the electrical infrastructure already available at many mono-incineration plants.
Modular by Design
Power-to-P has been developed as a modular concept rather than a bespoke chemical plant. Factory-built, factory-tested modules with standardised interfaces transform engineering uncertainty into predictable industrial delivery. Instead of estimating the cost and performance of a bespoke process for every project, customers invest in a repeatable solution with known interfaces, predictable implementation costs and shorter commissioning. Greater predictability reduces CAPEX uncertainty, improves financing conditions and shortens the expected payback period.
The Technology Platform
Power-to-P has been engineered to meet the operational, commercial and regulatory requirements of industrial phosphorus recovery.  Rather than developing entirely new unit operations, Power-to-P integrates electrodialysis with proven technologies such as filtration, ion exchange and reverse osmosis into a dedicated industrial process designed for reliable operation and predictable performance. The individual technologies have been refined and industrially applied within the Eilkær Group over many years, providing a robust technological foundation. Their integration into the Power-to-P platform delivers a differentiated solution that reduces operating costs and implementation risk while enabling efficient recovery of valuable resources from sewage sludge ash.
Designed with Environmental Considerations
Environmental performance has been integrated into the solution from the outset. Power-to-P is designed to minimise the consumption of fossil fuel and chemicals, waste generation and environmental impact while maximising the utilisation of valuable resources contained in sewage sludge ash. The design supports efficient permitting and safe industrial operation through a process architecture focused on simplicity, robustness and resource efficiency.
